Proximate chemistry testing with WISEcode Labs

Why WISEcode Labs for analytical chemistry testing?

At WISEcode Labs, we provide comprehensive proximate chemistry analyses to verify batch quality control or food/beverage composition. Our analytical chemistry laboratory uses cutting-edge technology operated by experienced scientists to ensure precision and transparency in every test we conduct.

Our rigorous testing processes cover various components such as moisture, ash, protein, fat, and fiber, providing a detailed breakdown of substance composition. With a focus on precision and accuracy, our testing services empower clients with the essential information needed for informed decision-making and quality control.

Our analytical chemistry lab services

WISEcode Labs offers an extensive menu of proximate analyses such as Ash, Density, Protein, Moisture, FAT by NMR, Fiber, Chloride, pH, titratable acidity, and viscosity. We are continuously adding to this menu, so if you do not see a specific test request, please reach out directly to the lab. Below is additional information on key tests and reference methods.

Ash-AOAC 923.03

Moisture-AOAC 934.01

Protein-AOAC 968.06

Titratable Acidity

WISEcode Labs utilizes end point titration to report out the following titratable acidity analytes:
Acetic Acid
Citric Acid
Lactic Acid
Malic Acid
Oxalic Acid
Pyruvic Acid

Percent Fat

WISEcode Labs utilizes the ORACLE universal fat analyzer, which is a low resolution, timedomain NMR instrument (TD-NMR) to report out percent fat. The ORACLE uses a proprietary train of pulses, which not only provides sufficient resolution to separate the fat signal from the signal of other components, but also normalizes the fat response so any fat molecule results in a uniform signal.

Fatty Acids Panel-AOAC 996.06

WISEcode Labs has an extensive fatty acids panel that is run on GC-FID. It detects and reports out over 60 analytes including the 4 main categories: saturated fat, monounsaturated fat, polyunsaturated fat and trans fats.
We will calculate the calories and carbohydrate values in your product and provide that in the Certificate of Analysis (COA). We can provide an image ready nutrition fact label upon request.
